James Stein Psychotherapist MA, LMFT
Do you sometimes have feelings of anxiety or sadness more often than you would like? Do you ever feel like you are trapped in a pattern of making poor choices in life, having no grasp of why you make these choices, and why you seem unable to choose differently? I believe that therapy is a means to illuminate your internal world, and explore what drives your thoughts and behavior. With a better understanding of where your thinking originated, you will gain a stronger foundation in which to challenge negative and/or distorted thoughts that may be holding you back.
In my practice I work with you to identify your struggles, and explore their meaning. I combine a combination of psycho-dynamic and solution-based therapy, so that we can explore the source of your thoughts and behavior. Then apply that understanding to situations you may be struggling with. Our work together will provide you a better chance for finding solution and resolve in your life.
We are all looking for a sense of self-love, self- acceptance, and balance in our lives. For many, therapy is a method to achieve these aspirations. I offer a warm, empathetic, non-judgmental environment, a place for you to be heard. Together we can work at giving you the best opportunity to realize and attain your goals.
